Want to race DH on a team with pro support?

Steve Peat talks to Bike Envy about his new venture, the Steve Peat Syndicate, and starts by saying "It would be great if we get more girls applying for the SPS. We really want to get an even split through the ranks of the sport so we're not targeting any specific type/age/sex/ability. We're looking forward to seeing all the applicants and picking a fun and promising Team for 2011"

So if you're a DH racer, or wannabe racer, of any age and want the opportunity to shine in a pro set up headed up by a World Champion, now is your chance. The Steve Peat Syndicate was launched in June, but don't panic there's still time to apply, and they are looking for promising female riders. Be quick though, the closing deadline is fast approaching.

Steve Peat Syndicate

Steve Peat - not only the fastest man on a DH bike in the Universe, but also the first man to appear on BikeEnvy.co.uk

The SPS offers you a pro level programme to really raise your standard of riding as well as letting you enjoy the benefits of a professional set up backed by some of the biggest names in mountain biking. The full support package includes the all conquering Santa Cruz V10 bike, two sets of SPS custom Royal race kit including team jerseys, 661 helmet and pads and weekend training camps with Peaty and other top World Cup riders.  At the races, team members will also have the full support of a pit space and paddock area complete with Mercedes Sprinter team van, awnings and chill out areas along with a team mechanic to help keep you on track and the mechanicals at bay. Wherever possible, Steve will also be on hand to walk the tracks with you before a race - his own race schedule allowing of course – and will offer you all the advice and experience he has gained in his 18 years of top level racing.

Steve has long been known for helping younger riders, such as World Cup stars Josh Bryceland and Brendan Fairclough, and back in the days when we raced DH he offered us many a good riding tip too, and he's keen to do more in 2011 and beyond. He says "We have two riders already signed - Josh Lewis and Billy Matthews so some girls would be great to even up the numbers! DH is dominated at a world level by Britain's ladies but where are the next ones coming from? Apart from Katy Curd, who else is coming through the ranks at present to emulate Tracey Moseley and Rachel Atherton?"

Places on the team are limited, so don’t hang around if you fancy emulating Peaty and riding like a pro with some of the very best gear available to World Cup racers. Find out more and get in touch with the Steve Peat Syndicate today at www.stevepeatsyndicate.com
