Hoo Ha Ride Glide

Comfort in the saddle area is always a hot topic for female cyclists – are we more at ease talking about our pain, do we suffer more than men, or are we just more intent on making our cycling hours more comfortable?  Whatever the reason, at BikeEnvy we believe it is possible to enjoy long rides in relative comfort.

Obviously the choice of saddle and shorts must be right for you and these are very individual choices.  Bike set up will also affect comfort on the bike and then there are chamois creams, wonderful anti-chafing lubricants that can be the final piece in the jigsaw.

Hoo Ha ride glide

Hoo Ha Ride Glide has been developed by female cyclists for female cyclists.  Their mission was to create a lubricant that would “eliminate chafing and pinching of our girlie parts” and to plug a gap in a market that was otherwise all about the boys.

The cream came with a warning, it contains menthol and peppermint, which when applied to your nether regions is instantly cooling – if you are not expecting it, it does come as a bit of a surprise.  Actually, we quite liked it, especially as the cool feeling lasts all the way to the shower and makes you feel fresh and comfortable, even on the hottest days in the saddle.

What you can't feel, even though it is vitally important, is the addition of Tea Tree to Hoo Ha Ride Glide, which helps to protect against infection.  At the same time, Lavender and Barley extract sooth and promote healing, are anti-inflammatory, moisturize and all add up to a rather pleasant smell as well.

We also found that it washed out of our kit easily.  So whether you slather it on to your body direct, smear it onto your cycling pad or both, Hoo Ha Ride Glide is a cycling essential.
