Shutt VR Women’s COOLMAX® Pro Bib Shorts

Shutt VR is relatively new to the cycle clothing market and they offer a good range of quality clothing with a women’s range too.  We’ve had the COOLMAX® Pro Bib Shorts on test for a few months now and having put a good few miles in while wearing them, we are ready to deliver our verdict.

Shutt VR bib front

The shorts are cut with 10 panels, for a great fit that accommodated our curves in a flattering way.  The fabric is substantial and the shorts are sewn with flat seams to prevent chaffing.  We found the length of the legs to be quite short at just 19 cm (measured on the inside of the leg).  Whether you like this or not is a matter of individual choice, but what we can say with confidence, is that they do not ride up under any circumstances, thanks to the gripper tape around the bottom of the leg.

The key to ride comfort has so much to do with the pad and in this respect the Shutt VR bibs come up trumps, with a multi-density, pro-gel anti-bacterial chamois, which really does the job well without feeling bulky.

The bib part incorporates a functional, white cool mesh back and straps, with a black trim, which keeps everything in place and delivers the streamlined silhouette that is just one of the reasons we love bib shorts. That, and ‘cos we can’t stand waistbands that dig in when you’re riding.
