Nightrider London 2012

Nightrider™ is a one day charity cycle ride with a difference....it’s at night!  3000 lycra-clad Nightriders will embark on an exciting 100km moonlit route past over 50 iconic London landmarks.  While the capital sleeps, £1 million will be raised in 1 night for hundreds of good causes.  Each participant will raise sponsorship funds for the charity of their choice.    This unique fundraising event is taking place on 9 /10 June 2012.

Nightrider London

Nightriders will set off from Alexandra Palace in north London or Crystal Palace in the south following a circular itinerary through the city.  They will encounter London’s most famous streets and buildings: Tower Bridge, a deserted City of London, Canary Wharf, Hampstead Heath, London Zoo, Piccadilly Circus, British Museum, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and more.   The route will be clearly sign-posted so participants can cycle at their own pace.  Full support and back up will be provided throughout the night.

Nightrider™ is organised by leading charity tour operator Classic Tours and is now an annual event on the London calendar.  Managing Director, Sir Erich Reich says: “Nightrider™ is a fantastic way to see the sights of London in a different light whilst helping to raise a huge amount for charity.  The 2012 ride has the added appeal of taking place during the Olympic year when the eyes of the world will be on London”.

Classic Tours has teamed up with on-line fundraising website Virgin Money Giving for Nightrider™ 2012.  Virgin Money Giving is not-for-profit, meaning that more money is able to reach good causes.

To take place in Nightrider™ a registration fee of £39 and a minimum sponsorship target of £175* approx. is required (*exact amount set by each charity).  Or participants can pay £99 and raise as much sponsorship as possible for the charity of their choice.  For more information and to sign up online visit www.nightrider.org.uk
