Ride Strong Plus

Nationwide recreational cycling programme Sky Ride has launched a new series of challenging bike rides exclusively for adults, British Cycling announced today.

Named Ride Strong Plus, the adult-only rides are taking place throughout the summer and cover 20 to 50 mile routes with a few hills and challenging climbs thrown in for good measure. The rides are ideal for those wanting to take their cycling to the next level or those looking to pack in extra training before a sportive.

Jill Puttnam, British Cycling’s National Operations Manager, said: “The recreational rides are led by British Cycling trained Ride Leaders, who give thousands of people a great group riding experience every summer. Many participants on Sky Ride Local rides go on to do more independent riding and form their own social cycling group.”

The rides form part of Sky Ride Local, a scheme that aims to offer quality led-ride experience to riders of all ages and abilities across the country.

New Ride Strong Plus rides are taking place nationwide from this Sunday 15 July. To find a ride, use the ride finder at goskyride.com
