dhb Ladies Windslam Jersey

The dhb Ladies Windslam Jersey has quickly become a favourite of ours simply because it is so versatile.  It is super lightweight, which makes it perfect for layering, but with a wind resistant front panel, it can be worn on its own on milder days as well.

Combining a wind resistant front panel with a super lightweight and highly breathable fabric for the back and sleeves cannot be described as ground breaking – cyclists have been trying to keep the wind chill off their bodies by stuffing things down the front of their jerseys for years – but dhb have done a really good job with this jacket.

The Windslam Jersey protects the core body from the wind chill that can so quickly sap the energy, whilst the areas where you sweat the most, but which are not exposed to the full force of the wind, are covered only by an incredibly lightweight, highly breathable layer.  It really is the best of both worlds and we think this jersey will be a firm favourite right the way through Spring and into summer on the cooler days.  We have just found it so incredibly wearable, it has quickly become a favourite with us and we cannot see a time when it would be out of season.

The “performance cut” means that it is form fitting and the black and white panels make it really flattering.  It looks great worn alone over a good base layer on warmer days, but it also makes it really easy to layer, as it fits comfortably under a winter jacket.

The cuffs are lightly elasticated, while the hem has silicon gripper to keep it all in place.  There are few things more frustrating in a jersey than riding up and exposing the lower back, but there were no such issues here – the cut of the jersey felt good on the bike; there was no tugging or pulling and it quietly stayed in place whether we were riding on the road, trails or on track.

There is a full length zip, which locks down and importantly it is easy to adjust on the move.   Critically, to maintain the windproof frontal area, the zip has a wind proof barrier that sits behind it, so there is no chance of wind creeping in here.

There are three usefully sized pockets across the back of the jersey, with the middle one made more secure by the addition of a flap.  That this centre pocket also has a sweat resistant barrier shows the sort of attention to detail that we really admire.

The are reflective logos and flashes on the front and around the pockets on the back

A really flattering jersey that will work for all seasons and that comes at a very attractive price.
