CRAFT Siberian Bootie

Craft’s Siberian booties really pack a punch – it’s clear that the Swedes understand a thing or two about keeping warm, using 3mm of wonderfully insulating neoprene and held together with taped seams, these booties are very effective at keeping the wind, wet and winter cold at bay.

In our experience Craft never accept compromise when they develop their kit and the attention to detail in these Siberian booties is testament to that ethos.  They are made with wind and water proof neoprene, which also provides some welcome warmth, but it was the way the seams were beautifully taped on the inside that really caught our eye.

Often booties are cut to cover just the top of the foot and toe, with little attention paid to the sole of the foot, but not with these.  The whole of the foot and ankle is equally protected from the wind and rain, with neat holes for the cleat and heal.

The Craft Siberian booties are clearly built to last, with Kevlar reinforcement of both the toe and heel – that’s the stuff used in bullet proof vests, so it is safe to assume it will considerably extend the life of these booties!

The sturdy zip is off-set slightly to the side of the heel, which made it easy to zip up and there is a Velcro strap that closes over the top of the zip and keeps everything secure.

Craft have even been generous with the reflectives.  There is the usual logo on each side, but in addition there is also reflective print on the front and back, to give all round visibility.

Worth every penny, these booties will see you through the very worst of the winter weather – sub-zero  temperatures, snow run off and freezing rain needn't spoil your ride and numb feet will be a thing of the past.
