dhb Ladies Section Short Sleeve Jersey

Great wicking performance combined with mesh panels make the dhb Section short sleeve jersey the perfect choice for summer riding.

dhb section jersey

In our experience the dhb label guarantees great value for money on wardrobe staples that are both stylish and functional, and the dhb Section short sleeved jersey ticks all the boxes of a classic summer jersey.

It almost goes without saying that this jersey is made from fabrics which work hard to wick away sweat as you ride, but the inclusion of large mesh panels under the arms really add to its ability to keep you cool and dry.

We love that the lightweight fabric is really soft to touch and has the added bonus of being treated to resist odours as well – certainly we have worked hard on the bike to test this jersey and found it lived up its promise of keeping us smelling as sweet as could be expected!

The cut is form fitting, that is close but not skin tight, which allows for easy movement and, thanks to the colour contrasting side panels, rather flattering.  These side panels include white mesh inserts that run up the inside of the sleeve, under the arm pits and almost half way down the body of the jersey, thus avoiding the need for any seams in the under arm area and avoiding chafing issues.  Great attention to detail.

The inside of the neck also uses the white mesh fabric which is super smooth and thoughtfully, dhb have included a substantial port for the zip, so there is no chafing of the chin area either.

Once on, we found it stayed perfectly in place thanks to silicone tape which is applied to the back hem of the jersey only.  This means there is no tightness over the stomach area and adds to the overall comfort of the jersey.

dhb have really gone to town with the pockets on this jersey.  There are three open pockets, plus one zippered pocket with a waterproof and therefore sweat-proof lining, so you are truly spoiled for choice.

The jersey comes in a great choice of colours and there are reflective inserts in the shoulders and lower back, plus reflective dhb logos front and back, which all add to the wearers visibility.

We loved this jersey and have used it for long training rides and commuting in this wonderful summer weather.  It coordinates well with a number of items – dhb and other – that we already have in our wardrobe and that, along with its performance, has made it an easy choice for us.

The only criticism we had and we know we are being picky here, is that the zip is not very deep, so if you like a jersey where you can really open up the front for ventilation you might be disappointed.  We should say that our reviewer was not put off by this and given the overall wicking ability of the jersey, we would through recommend it.
