dhb Goldline SS Jersey

At 133g the dhb Goldline short sleeved jersey is very lightweight indeed. It is also packed full of fabulous little touches which all add up to make this a really great piece of kit.

dhb Goldline range

We have already raved about the dhb Goldline bibs here and we think the dhb Goldline jersey is every bit as good – there is no doubt that dhb have put a lot of effort into making this a truly great summer piece and anyone who thought dhb was a budget buy will have to think again, this is a top quality jersey to challenge the premium brands.

The Goldline jersey has a wide mesh strip (with bonded seams) which runs down the back, with extra panels under the arms and behind the pockets, and this all makes for some very effective ventilation.

The arm cuffs are made of the same mesh material that that we liked so much around the bottom of the bib shorts and once again they are nice and broad, and with no uncomfortable seams either.  This means there is no chafing, annoying arm pinching, or battles to get the jersey off when you are sweaty.

All five of the Italian fabrics that have been used in the making of this jersey feel great against the skin and did a superb job of wicking away sweat at high temperatures.  The cut was also brilliant, as you’d expect from a jersey at this price point.  It is a race fit and we found it figure skimming, making it a very aerodynamic offering.  The elastic silicone strip around the base of the jersey was critical to holding it all in place and it did its job beautifully.

dhb have included three good sized pockets, plus an additional zipped pocket for valuables in the Goldline jersey. There is also a nice, laser cut hole for a race radio ear piece, or iPod/mp3 player headphones. The main pockets are finished with dhb branded piping, one of the many subtle bits of branding that Wiggle have managed to work into this jersey in a rather classy way. They’ve also included small reflective detailing on the sides of the pockets, which is important on such a dark jersey.

The red finishes – the zip and around the neckline – add some serious chic to the overall look of this jersey, which would otherwise be a study in black.  Given the heat, we really appreciated the full length red zip and were pleased that dhb had thought to include a chin guard at the top, to prevent the zipper rubbing our chin too.

The dhb Goldline jersey has seen some serious use this summer and we can report that it has washed well, with the added bonus that the anti-bacterial coating has kept us smelling fresh, ride after ride!

We think the dhb Goldline jersey is a really well thought out, well finished jersey, packed with lots of little details that increase rider comfort and we hope Wiggle increase the range available.
