Fast Track Coaching Weekend

There is no doubting the credentials of Dave Le Grys and Lee Povey, either as cyclists or as coaches, and in our experience, they understand, respect and get the best out of female cyclists.  So we are delighted to tell you about the track training weekends they organise.

We will be attending one of these shortly, to see for ourselves exactly what goes on, but for now, we have spoken to a couple of the women who attended the last clinic.

Nicci Meadows, a relative new comer to riding the track and cycling in general told us ‘I had a cracking time on and off the bike!  In particular, I found the video discussions helpful - it was good to be able to actually see where things go wrong and why, it is much easier to correct.   The organisation was excellent, we all got an itinerary emailed to us in advance and as far as I could tell, it ran like clockwork.  Coaches were on hand to help with pinning on numbers, changing gears - just helping out and keeping us informed throughout the day.  All in all, fabulous!!

At the other end of the spectrum, Cheryl Owens is an experience track rider ‘I learned a lot. The communication from the coaches was excellent and their explanation of skills and tactics was very clear and these were reinforced throughout the weekend.  The video feedback and group recap was very valuable and it was also a time to get to know the group as well’.

What you can expect from a Fast Track Coaching weekend

The two day clinic will cover track sprinting race tactics in great detail on day one, with both video feedback and expert analysis after each effort.  On day two we will cover Keirin race tactics with the same detail.

This is a great opportunity to practice race tactics with expert feedback from two of the world's best sprint coaches.

We welcome women riders and will make sure we match you up with other girls on this course.

Saturday’s session starts at 12pm with riders arriving and hopefully being able to have a go on WATT bikes, before the rider briefing at 1pm.  The session will finish at approx 6.15pm.

On Sunday there will be a recovery road ride at 9.30 of approx 60 minutes and then it is back to the track at 1pm for a rider briefing, finishing at approx 6pm.

The cost is £150 for the weekend, to include coaching and track time.

Numbers are limited to ensure each rider gets plenty of individual attention and feedback.

There is also the opportunity to book an individual bike fit session at a cost of £25.  This will help you to set up your bike up in the best position for you to maximise your potential.

These courses are always popular and so if you want to book a place you should get in touch immediately to avoid disappointment.
