The UK's First Bungee On A Bike

Adam Flint, from Highland Perthshire, celebrated Leap day 2012 (29/02/12) whilst promoting cycling in Highland Perthshire with a 40 metre "Bungee on a Bike" at Killiekrankie.

The leap of faith was the first of its kind from a permanent bungee jump site in the UK, when Adam launched himself off the Tummel Bridge at Killiecrankie into the wooded gorge of the River Garry below.

Highland Perthshire Cycling, a community based organisation and the Cycle Friendly Community of the Year 2011/12, works to promote and enable more people to cycle more often in Highland Perthshire; whether locals or visitors, running workshops, clubs, school activities, and events to achieve this.  The highlight of the year is the Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival that will run from 4th - 13th May 2012.

Highland Fling, who operate the Bungee site, Progression Bikes of Dunkeld, and Escape Route of Pitlochry have joined Highland Perthshire Cycling in a collaboration to bring the first Bungee Jump on a Bike to Highland Perthshire. The businesses all offer fantastic experiences and services for cyclists in Highland Perthshire. They offer on and off road cycling experiences in the area from the adrenaline fuelled to the more gentle family focused activities.
